Letters usually exist in the second dimension. In this workshop we explored how they can become objects, sculptures, and material experiments. Focusing on the letter E, I investigated how the transition between regular, slanted, and italic typefaces can be experienced physically.

Through a system of movable wooden joints, the letter can shift along two vertical and three horizontal axes. The tight connections allows the E to stand independently in its different typographic positions, making changes in type style tangible and spatial.
